Do More 24 is Wednesday, May 17

Early Giving is going on now!

Save the date…

…for this year’s Do More 24 event, the 24-hour online fundraiser for D.C.-area nonprofit organizations like The City Choir of Washington that is sponsored by the United Way of the National Capital Area. Last year, for the sixth year in a row, we came in #1 in our category of “Arts Organizations with a Budget under $1 Million!”

This year’s goal is $20,000; please help City Choir stay on top by going online and donating.

You can also help by spreading the word: a single email or post on social media to your family and friends, near and far, will go a long way.

Early giving is going on now, so you don’t need to wait! Money donated in advance will be included in our totals.

It’s easy to contribute!

Beginning at midnight on Wednesday, May 19, log on to City Choir’s page on the Do More 24 website. You can find Do More 24 links on our website, Facebook page, Instagram, or Twitter. Just remember, the clock runs out at 11:59 pm!

You can donate any amount, but here are some examples of what your contribution will provide to City Choir:

  • $500 pays the salary of one orchestra member

  • $250 covers the cost for one hour’s rehearsal

  • $125 funds a City Singers performance in a retirement home

  • $ 50 celebrates Erin Freeman’s 50th birthday! (coming up on May 23!)

  • $ 25 pays for the music score of a guest soloist
