Adam Partridge, bass-baritone

ADAM PARTRIDGE is a 24-year-old lyric baritone born in Jacksonville, Florida. He is in his second year of study pursuing his Master of Music degree under the tutelage of Dr. Robin Rice at Rice University. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Stetson University. Mr. Partridge’s latest performances include Ottone in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea at Rice, as well as the title role in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi at the Seagle Festival. He most recently performed in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin last November at Rice, playing the title role. Since starting his singing career, he has won multiple competitions including the Jeannie and Stephen Foster Voice Competition and the Stetson University Giffin Competition, placing first in both. In the summer prior, Mr. Partridge was a Studio Artist at Wolf Trap Opera, where he covered the role of Masetto in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. He plans to return there next season, this time performing the roles of Benoit and Alcindoro in Puccini’s La Bohème, as well as covering the role of Lt. Audebert in Kevin Puts’ Silent Night. An upcoming young professional singer, he prides himself on musical versatility by exploring multiple genres including opera, art song, musical theater, and choral ensembles. Adam is delighted to be joining the City Choir of Washington for their performance of Mozart’s Mass in C Minor.
