Celebrating Maestro Robert Shafer’s 50 years as a choral conductor in Washington, DC
On May 5, 2018 members of the Washington, DC choral community honored Robert Shafer for an extraordinary 50 years of service as a choral conductor and music educator. The event was held at the National Press Club and hosted by Robert Aubry Davis. Pianist Frank Conlon (Bob Shafer’s college roommate) and bass Kerry Wilkerson performed, and singers and colleagues from every stage of Maestro Shafer’s career came to celebrate.
