The Carmina Burana spectacular continues! After a lauded performance at Wolf Trap on August 30, members of the City Choir of Washington will partner again with the Richmond Ballet, Richmond Symphony, and Richmond Symphony Chorus—conducted by Erin Freeman—for three performances of Carmina Burana in Richmond, VA. Excite all your senses in the rococo Carpenter Theater where you will experience all the drama, mystery, and humor of Orff’s masterpiece—immersed in classic choreography, surrounded by the chorus, and accompanied by a thunderous full orchestra. The brilliant new ballet Thrive by Ma Cong is also on the program. Please note that tickets are available at the Richmond Ballet or Richmond Symphony and are not part of City Choir’s regular four-concert subscription series.
