Board of Directors

Kathryn M. Tidyman, President, has performed symphonic choral music at the Kennedy Center, the National Shrine, and in numerous venues throughout Europe while on several tours spanning 1994 to 2002. She works as a marketing communications consultant in Vienna, Virginia.

Carol Green Edison, Vice President, has been a symphonic chorus singer since 1971. She has sung in major venues such as the Kennedy Center as well as on tour in Spain. She has taught music at the elementary, secondary, and college levels, and currently maintains a private studio. An avid quilter, Carol has designed and completed more than 20 quilts.

Margaret (Meg) Hemingway, General Manager, has 31 years of singing the symphonic choral repertoire in major venues and has performed on six European tours. She recently retired from the staff of a large Washington, D.C., law firm and is now an active tennis and golf player.

David B. Robinson, Secretary/Counsel, has more than 30 years of experience singing bass with major symphonic choral groups. His day job is as a partner in the Washington, D.C., law firm, Patton Boggs, L.L.P.

Marvin C. Wunderlich, Treasurer, A former professor of mathematics at Northern Illinois University, Marvin Wunderlich began his singing career in 1984. He has sung with two symphonic choruses, one in Washington and one in England, and participated in six concert tours of Europe. He worked for the federal government for 13 years before retiring in 1997.

Members at Large

Amy Antonelli has served as accompanist for chorus rehearsals since 1971 as well as for numerous conductors and guest conductors of the National Symphony Orchestra, including: Antal Dorati, Mstislav Rostropovich, Leonard Slatkin, and Zdenek Macal. Dr. Antonelli is assistant dean of the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music at Catholic University where she also serves as an associate professor of music theory.

Patricia R. Coppolino has sung with the Cathedral Choir at St. Thomas More Cathedral for more than 10 years and with a large, symphonic chorus in Washington, D.C. for two years. In addition, she has taught preschool music through the Music Together program and currently directs the Youth Choir at St. Thomas More Cathedral. She practiced law with the U.S. Department of Justice and in private practice from 1988 to 1999 before turning her focus to music.

Evelyn R. Fine has sung with major Washington, D.C., choruses for more than 10 years. She has performed at the Kennedy Center as well as on tours to France, Central Europe, and Italy. She works in marketing and communications for nonprofits and is a professional narrator.

James B. Hutchinson, Jr., has extensive choral singing experience including performances with major choruses and orchestras as well as international and domestic tours. Groups of which he was a part have won at least two Grammy® Awards and more than four Emmys. He is currently travel manager for The National Academies.

Barbara Esposito Ilacqua is a professional singer, pianist, and organist. In addition to groups in the Washington area, she has sung in several major choruses in Cincinnati and Dallas, and has also studied music in England. Ms. Ilacqua was a music director in Cincinnati and an assistant director in Dallas, Texas. She is currently on the music staff of the Cathedral of St. Thomas More, in Arlington, Virginia. She works as an analyst for a major Federal law enforcement agency.

Geoffrey D. Kaiser began his choral career in 1974 with the Halle Choir in Manchester, where highlights included an acclaimed recording of Walton's Belshazzar's Feast for BBC TV. He has sung choral masterworks at the Kennedy Center for more than 20 years, performed on six European tours, and participated in two Grammy® award-winning recordings.

Brian G. Laush has been singing major choral works for more than a decade in the Washington, D.C., region under the baton of nationally and internationally renowned choral and symphonic directors. He has performed in local churches and the Kennedy Center as well as in concert halls and cathedrals throughout Europe. He performs music from a wide range of genres including classical, liturgical, Eastern Slavic, blues, and rock.

Leo H. Settler has sung the symphonic choral repertoire for more than 20 years. He has performed in major domestic and international venues as well as on six concert tours of Europe. In addition to being a singer, he is an oboist and singer's diction coach. He was born in Michigan and attended the University of Michigan where he received the degree Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance. After teaching at Shenandoah Conservatory of Music (now Shenandoah University), he moved to Washington, D.C., to join the staff of the Library of Congress in 1979. He retired from the Library in 2005.

Robert P. Wilkinson is a lifelong resident of the Washington, D.C., area. In addition to singing the symphonic choral repertoire for nearly 30 years, including six European tours, he is an active church musician, having served several local parishes as organist and choir director. After many years of working in the information technology industry, he is enjoying his second career as a landscape designer.

Alfhild M. Winder has performed most of the major choral works for audiences as diverse as Pope John Paul II and the Washington Redskins. She works as an editor for a daily publication on commercial aviation and trains people to train dogs in her non-singing hours.
